Organizational and Human Resources (OHR)

Organizational and administrative management has always been a strong suit to my professional competencies. I’m a creature of habit, so it has always been a priority for me to keep things as familiar as possible and consistently develop tracking paperwork and documents that allow my team to be as well informed as possible. My care for on-call crisis management related matters and budget tracking showcase my immense eye for detail because I believe it’s important for everything to be as informative as possible to better support my community members who are impacted by my work. As I look into more professional opportunities, specifically those that require me to supervise undergraduate students, I hope to incorporate more opportunities for us to check-in about overall goals and further motivate them to build new skills in various areas in order to continuously grow and become more efficient in many transferable ways.

Artifacts

Event Tracking

This tracking document lists all staff events in a centralized location to keep the various activities in order. There is a variety of information listed here: the logistical information for students, what items are required for the events, internal budget tracking per person, and much more. By structuring events in this way, I’m able to be well informed about my staff's events and give them updates or reminders on the progress of various elements or added instructions on what they need to complete.

Pre-College Time Tracking

This time tracking document allows supervisors to update staff hours and holistically see how certain team members are using their time. This document also utilizes internal formulas to automate total week hours and project how many hours they have left to fulfill in their contracts. This document allows supervisors to be much more informed about staff member activities and present conversations in one-on-one meetings for how to better structure time throughout the remainder of the program.

Staff Meeting Agenda

This meeting agenda showcases my emphasis for creating easy-to-understand documentation that focuses on function and transparency. By formatting information in this way, I make deadlines clear and give my staff members a place to review information if necessary. This agenda allows staff meetings to be swift, intentional, and practically beneficial to my staff.

RA Hiring Candidate Notes

This letter is from a recent student leader I supervised during my time with student government. The students' content focuses on my ability to find a good balance between professionalism and personal relationship building while pushing them in a healthy way to be the best professional they can be. This narrative reminds me that I support my staff in healthy ways and always make sure that they never feel isolated in work or personal matters.
